Hangers can only be constructed with Trinium, Xanium, Ogonite or Avorion. Fight epic space battles, explore, mine, trade, wage wars and build your own empire to save your galaxy from being torn apart by an unknown enemy. I tried adding 4 more hangars but it didn't seem to have any positive impact on the amount of fighters in the air at a time. When building it, you can increase these stats for points, but doing so will make the fighter more expensive. Torpedoes can be visually identified by the color of the warhead and body class. Great guide but as i was messing around with stations for the first time i ran into a problem of cargo not being moved fast enough, even tho i have 3 squads of cargo shuttles in each station which is set to deliver/collect from the other. A mining carrier with several squadrons of r-mining fighters, piloted by an AI captain, will generally mine more ore in the same amount of time than a mining ship that is using r-mining lasers, as fighters will be able to reach new asteroids much faster. In the combat update, they changed the death mechanic so that there is a chance the pilot will eject and you can pick them up just like the turrets from what I understand.
So i was in a battle and a carrier ship of mine got destroyed and i cant rebuild it but i have a load of fighters around me that are just flying in circles, can i retrieve them or are they a lost hope? I always max out the maneuverability and speed, and then whatever is left i put into size. Bigger turrets will turn slower, but deal more damage at longer ranges.

Initial stats and the amount of durability you get per point spent depends on the material of turret from which you are creating the fighter. For example, I have a powerful laser on my fighters, so I want them to go slow to have the laser on target for as long as possible. It was not obvious to me what I should spend my points on. The player is able to design custom fighters at any Custom fighter damage calculation: 0.3 * turret damage / number of slots. The material of the turret used to make the fighter determines its properties. These are by no means 100% accurate, but they should get you pretty close. Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. Durability increases the hp of the fighter a bit, but it's not really as useful as just being able to move around quickly and avoid getting hit altogether. Avorion is largely loot-driven, and the wide ranges that the RNG can roll stats on weapons makes it possible for inferior materials and rarities to outperform higher-tier items.

I don't think it reduces the physical size of the fighter, but if it does, that would certainly make them harder to hit, giving them more suvivability.
